SwitchSalt and Sanctuary for PC, PS4 and PSV is a two dimensional platformer featuring many strictly RPG elements, dark atmosphere, and high level of difficulty. The title was developed by the team of Ska studio, creators of such productions as Charlie Murder and the The Dishwasher series.
Story
During the game we play the part of a sailor shipwrecked on a mysterious island. This peril, however, despite its appearances, turns out to be godsend for him, as the world is engulfed in global a war that decimates mankind. The mysterious piece of land provides him with an asylum that gives hope for the reconstruction of a new, more peaceful world in the future.
Gameplay
In the discussed production, which was released for PC, PS4 and PSV, the players will be able to develop their protagonist, employ many types of offensive measures, fight a lot of powerful and diverse bosses, and a use a wide array of weaponry, including, among others, one handed swords, staffs, throwing knives, shields, bows, crossbows, and two handed weapons. A strange thing you learn about American popular music, if you look back far enough, is that for a long time it didn’t much have “genres” — it had ethnicities. The house music in Kanye West’s “Fade”: Does it make you picture the black Chicagoans who helped invent it or the club-going Europeans who embraced it? How does it work when a queer woman matches the sexual braggadocio of male rappers, when L.G.B.T. activists sing a country song for a restaurant chain that once fired gay employees, when Leonard Cohen revisits his childhood religious inheritance?
This is what we talk about now, the music-makers and the music-listeners both. Not the fine details of genre and style — everyone, allegedly, listens to everything now — but the networks of identity that float within them. Maybe decades ago you could aim your songs at a mass market, but music does not really have one of those anymore. Artists have to figure out whom they’re speaking to and where they’re speaking from. The rest of us do the same. For better or worse, it’s all identity now. ♦
